    My grandmother Alice Overy is in the Beano picture going to Southend from the Beehive pub in Roman Road, also shown are Cissy Munday a cousin. My nan used to say that the best Guinness was sold at the Beehive.

    This was my mum and dads pub 1938 till 1971 I was born 1955 and I don’t remember my mum having ladys Beanos so this would been late 1950s early 1960
